Egyptian Wood Mummy Mask Painted
Maker and date unknown, this is a mask made for the journey to the after life. It is carved from light soft wood; it is thickly painted that is in rough condition. It has cracks in the wood and damage to the paint. The nose is partially missing. The top headpiece is missing too. It appears to be an original Egyptian artifact. I had the stand made for it. The mask measures 7 1/3 long x 5 wide x 3 inches thick. The base is made from onyx.
