Turkman Tekke Hat w/ Silver Disk Stone Tribal Ceremonial
This hand embroidered hat from Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, is beautifully embellished with cut and polished GLASS stones cabochon ovals, 43 of them bezel set. The metal is low grade silver with gold gilt engraving. It also has is decorated on the side with flat silver buttons, and chains with pendants. It is fully embroidered with cotton and metallic threads. It has a cotton print inside lining that has a quilted look. It measures 6 ½ inches across x 2 ¾ inches tall, not including the hanging bits. Circa 1900.
