Tlingit/Haida Finger Pointing Coin Silver Gold Tattoo 19th C
Probably made from a silver dime. This is a 19th century Native American brooch, Haida or Tlingit, in the shape of a hand, wearing a gold bracelet. The gold bracelet is applied and has cross-hatching engraved. The hand is pointing the index finger. He has a tattoo design of a double line curls, and a straight double line with notches. The pin is a soldered safety pin. It measure 1 ¾ inches long x ½ of an inch wide. It weighs just over 2 grams.
