Papua New Guinea Fertility Female Figure
With her grass skirt, arms, and legs open, this is a powerful Papua New Guinea figure. It was gifted to a Red Cross worker in the 1950’s. From Papua New Guinea, it was suggested it was from the Sepik River region. She has inlaid eyes, tufts of wool on her head, her skirt is made from grass. The wood is a light in weight wood, painted. She measures 29 inches wide, x 10 inches tall, x 4 inches thick.
