Northwest Coast Salish Wool Basket
Handmade from inner cedar bark using the bifurcated coil method. It has a hole in the center from which the thread or wool comes out of. The ball of wool fits inside. It is decorated with an imbricated floral design using cherry bark and the black is fermented cherry bark. The lid has an unusual 14 loop border, it fits tightly in place.
