This is a traditional functional head pad, useful and decorative. Called a IDANI, or INDHONI, it is made for carrying heavy pots on their head. Typical object from the nomadic Rabari Culture of India, worn by the woman. It is all hand sewn with textiles, glass beads from Peking China, and cowrie shells. The stand is not included.
