An antique Buckle made of silver, bronze, and hard leather, maybe horn. It is from Northern Greece, Bulgarian region. This 19th century ceremonial mans belt buckle, has a decoration on the leather or horn of the double headed eagle, a Byzantine Orthodox symbol. The left side of the leather has the decoration worn down. The silver is not polished. This belt buckle has a solid hook clasp on the back, also engraved with and “X”, roman numerals.
